Battle Day 2003

We once again used the field in front of the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation museum complex for our one-day event. We had a good turn-out of members with goodly numbers of both the 1/16 and 1/6 tanks.

The 1/16 diorama was carefully laid out to utilize our small collection of buildings to best effect. And, as usual, we added some new features. Chief among these were trees which really helped considerably to the landscaping. They made our ridge road with its new arched stone bridge look more "alpine".

A new tunnel provided a way for our 1/16th railroad spur to make a graceful exit from the battlefield.

Aaron Machado surprised us with an very scale set of plaster dragon's teeth and a road block, both taken from drawings he found.

We had casual combat that day, with again the tour interrupting the running of the tanks in that it took away most all of the participants for quite a period of time.

Due to this situation we agreed to return to a two-day event for 2004 with the tour scheduled as the main event for Saturday.
